DHA and EMREE prep FAQ: straight answers before you start.
The questions people ask first, including whether the questions are real and whether anything here guarantees a pass.
Short answer: These answers cover what Meddex is, where its questions come from, how mock exams work and what it costs. In short, Meddex is an independent exam-preparation app for the DHA licensing exam and the EMREE residency entrance exam. Its questions are original, it does not guarantee a pass, and it is free to start.

Getting started
Meddex helps nurses and doctors prepare for the DHA licensing exam, and doctors for the EMREE residency exam, so a career in the UAE feels within reach. You practise exam-style questions with full explanations, sit timed mock exams, revise with flashcards and see which subjects to work on next.
Nurses, doctors and other clinicians preparing for the Dubai Health Authority exam, and doctors preparing for EMREE. When you sign up you choose your profession, your exam and your exam date, and the questions and mocks are matched to you.
No. Meddex is independent. The Dubai Health Authority, Prometric, UAE University and the National Institute of Health Specialties have not reviewed or approved it. Check requirements on the official DHA website before you book.
Not yet. Preparation covers DHA, plus EMREE for doctors. DOH and MOHAP are planned, and we will say so when they are ready.
The DHA exam
Meddex mock exams use 150 single-best-answer questions and a 3-hour limit as a planning format. DHA's own guideline lists 150 multiple-choice questions in 3 hours for a Registered Nurse and General Practice, and it can change them, so check the current guideline before you book.
DHA sets the pass score for each title: 50% for a Registered Nurse, 60% for General Practice, General Dentist and Pharmacist, and 55% to 70% for specialist physicians. Our nurse mock uses 50% and other mocks use 60% as a planning benchmark. Mock scores are practice figures, not predictions, so confirm your own title's score with DHA.
Eight to twelve weeks of regular study is a reasonable guide, but it depends on your starting point. The readiness indicator and weak-area view help you decide when to book.
No, and nobody honest can promise that. Meddex gives you practice, feedback and a clear picture of where you are weak. The result depends on your preparation and on the exam on the day.
Questions and mock exams
No. Every question is original and written by us in the DHA style. We do not use real or leaked exam questions, and you should be wary of any service that says it has them. Each question lists its references, and how we write and check them is on the methodology page.
Yes. You see the correct answer, the reason each option is right or wrong, and the references to read further.
Tutor mode shows the answer and explanation as soon as you submit each question. Timed mode holds the feedback until the end, as in a timed exam.
Your answers save as you go. Reopen the app and choose Resume to get your answers, flags and position back. The clock runs from the original end time, so time keeps counting while you are away.
Plans and billing
Yes. The free account needs no card and has limits: full-length mock 1 and the half-length checkpoint, 15 new practice questions a day, the first 8 flashcards of every deck, the study planner and progress analytics. Paid access removes the limits for the exam track you buy.
