EMREE exam dates: the twelve 2025 to 2026 sittings, the enrolment pattern and how to find the next one

Short answer: The organiser listed twelve physician sittings for 2025 to 2026, from 21 December 2025 to 14 June 2026, each with its own enrolment window. When we checked on 15 October 2026 the portal still showed only that cycle, so no 2026 to 2027 date is confirmed. Check the portal’s home page for the current schedule.

When is the EMREE exam, and when does enrolment close?

The organiser does not run one exam day a year. Its home page, titled “Residency Entrance Examination 2025-26 cycle”, listed a table of sittings, each with an enrolment start, an enrolment end, an exam date and a result date. This guide shows the 2025 to 2026 physician table as printed, so you can see how the schedule is shaped. It is history, not a promise for next year. Meddex is independent and is not connected to the EMREE organiser, UAE University or the National Institute of Health Specialities.

Key facts and where they come from

From the organiser’s portal home page and FAQs, read 15 October 2026.

  • The physician table for 2025 to 2026 had twelve sittings, from 21 December 2025 to 14 June 2026. The last one carried a “New” tag, so the schedule can be extended during the year.
  • Enrolment opens at 8:00 AM on the start date and closes at 11:59 PM on the end date, or earlier when seats are full. Seats are limited and first come, first served.
  • The number of sittings per year can change with the residency intake, and dates are announced well in advance. Source: FAQs.
  • Fees are non-refundable, and date changes and fee transfers are not allowed once enrolled.
  • On 15 October 2026 the page still showed 2025 to 2026 only, with no 2026 to 2027 schedule.

What pattern does the table show?

Two things, from our own reading of the table. First, enrolment closed about four days before the exam in ten of the twelve rows, with one-day and five-day gaps in the others. So the real deadline is a few days before the exam, not weeks. Second, results are listed about four days after each sitting in most rows. The organiser’s results page says an electronic statement of score and ranking comes within ten working days, so treat the listed date as a target and the ten-day statement as the outer limit.

Several windows overlap, which means you can choose a sitting to suit your preparation. It also means a date that suits you can fill up first, because seats are first come, first served.

How do you find the next cycle’s dates?

Open the organiser’s home page and read the cycle title and the table. If it still says 2025 to 2026, the next cycle is not published yet. Do not rely on a page that gives a date without a cycle name. Then work back from your residency deadlines, as in EMREE application and timeline. Enrol on the first day if you have a fixed date in mind, because seats are limited. Once you hold a result, the results guide and the retake rules say what follows.

Dental and pharmacy dates

They are in a separate table. For 2025 to 2026 it listed four dates between January and March 2026, and we have not recorded them. See EMREE, EDREE or EPREE for how the exams differ.
